Community Matters.

Shellan likes to work on projects that provide value to the community and her clients.

Housing Development: Shellan has experience managing a variety of housing oriented developments from land acquisition through lease up, from six units to 200+ units. She has overseen the successful submittal of various housing financing applications at the state and local levels, including LIHTC, USDA, HOME, CDBG, AHP, CalHFA and others. She has worked for and been on the board of public housing authorities in Montana and Idaho.

Community Housing Plans: Shellan taps into her vast network and enjoys partnering with organizations for larger planning projects or when complimentary skills are needed or desired. Her network around the western U.S. is extensive and, depending on the scope of work, she can collaborate with a team to provide a full service package for long and short term housing plans, market research and action plans.

Urban Renewal: Shellan has more than five years of experience working with urban renewal agencies in Idaho and many years partnering with redevelopment agencies in other states. She has worked in partnership with public and private developers to create unique public spaces and added value to the community. She has also managed the creation and amendment of urban renewal plan areas in Idaho.

What our clients are saying…

Shellan is great to work with. She’s a hard worker and is willing to dig in to keep a project moving forward while creating lasting relationships in the community.
— Caleb Roope, CEO, The Pacific Companies
Shellan’s knowledge of affordable housing is grounded in significant real world experience. She is aware of the needs of various housing agencies while also understanding the economic feasibility needs of developers... her perspective is relatively unique in this regard. Her thoughtful approach makes her an asset to the housing authority Board in Boise.
— Diana Lachiondo, (Former) Ada County Commissioner
Working with Shellan on the Gibson residential project in downtown Boise was enjoyable and unique. Her grasp and understanding of developer needs, urban renewal agency constraints, and the complexity of including HUD financing and a first of its kind urban pocket park made what could have been a difficult task refreshingly painless.
— Clay Carley, Old Boise, Developer
Shellan just gets things done. A thoughtful communicator and collaborator, she’s guided our firm through the most difficult entitlement processes, in some of the most stunning locations. Shellan finds the middle ground between agencies, owners, and reality.
— Doug Gibson, CEO, DG Group Architecture
